I started my career as a print designer, dedicating several years to crafting designs for tangible objects. With plenty of time for self-reflection over the pandemic, I began exploring where I wanted to go next in my career. As a big consumer of digital products and long-time technophile, this led me to pursue product design.
I think back to nights hunched over my Powerbook, foregoing sleep to teach myself Dreamweaver by way of HTML, XHTML, and CSS (remember that book?) and W3Schools. Now we have no-code platforms like Webflow, Bubble and Zapier. What I appreciate most about product design is the chance to streamline processes and make once-inaccessible things accessible for all. The continuous learning process and opportunities to make real-world impact are what consistently bring me back for more.
